The squeeze die casting process used in aluminum die casting at CHUO MALLEABLE IRON:

An ingot containing materials prescribed by JIS Standard ADC12 is melted and the flow is controlled steadily by maintaining the temperature.
We are able to achieve superior accuracy in dimensions and casting surface by means of a squeeze die casting process. Compared to regular die casting, less air is trapped, which cuts down on blow holes. This allows us to create thermally processable, high quality casting products.
The product is quenched and molded within the die. A program is in place to remove the product with a robot arm that follows the automated machine cycle.

After being removed from the die, the product is automatically transported for shot blasting. It then goes through visual inspection. On our automated Die Cast Line, this is where the first human intervention is made. Quality is checked and then the product is sent to the machining plant for processing and assembly.
